Therizinosaurus

Order: Saurischia · Suborder: Theropoda · Family: Therizinosauridae
Fragmentary remains of Therizinosaurus were discovered in southern Mongolia. A late Cretaceous dinosaur, its skeletal structure (other than an arm) remains a mystery. This dinosaur had sickle-shaped claws over 2 feet (0.6 meters) long. It may have used this formidable weapon for attacking and butchering its prey, or digging up huge ant nests.
